Access to clean water for school children in rural Uganda improves the educational experience
In August, 2016 a group of engineering students from EWB Chapter of University of Minnesota worked our local builders, URF staff and students to build three water tanks for rainwater catchment. The tanks were placed behind our new buildings: the main hall, welding shop, and girls’ dormitory.
We are very grateful for EWB’s support and partnership of nearly ten years. During this time, they have provided clean water to three schools in different villages. Water is a big crisis in Uganda especially in rural communities where is no access to clean water sources.
