Students at VCU in Richmond launch URF Campus Chapter

“We started the chapter at VCU during the spring 2011 semester. We are a group of very dedicated and passionate students with one common goal: to help others.” Eden

The purpose of the Campus chapters is provide an opportunity for students to get involved in international developments. Their activities are centered around raising awareness of global issues on health, poverty, education, women empowerment, sustainable development, etc. The chapter members become passionate ambassadors of URF on the campuses and organize fundraising events to support programs in Uganda. If you and someone you know would be interested in starting a URF chapter at a high school or college, please get in touch with us jmlugemwa@ugandaruralfund.org

Uganda Rural Fund at Virginia Commonwealth University welcomes you! We started the chapter at VCU during the spring 2011 semester. We are a group of very dedicated and passionate students with one common goal: to help others. Our mission here at VCU, is to implicate the principles brought forth to us from URF and to provide endless support from the VCU community. We plan to hold bi-weekly meetings on Wednesdays for our members to come together and exchange ideas. We also plan to hold fundraising activities, events, forums, etc. for the means of awareness of URF.
